I believe my first two pictures were a good attempt at trying to capture images in the same style as the artist I chose this week. I really enjoy the photography assignments more now that the weather is warmer because it gives me more things to capture. One issue I have with capturing photos is the sharpness/clarity. While taking photos, when I review them on the camera they always look good initially. Once I take a look at the images on my computer, I realize that the images do not always look as clear on my computer screen as they did while on the camera. I need to practice moving in closer to the subject (especially the smaller ones). The difficult part about this assignment was getting close enough to capture a good image without scaring the birds away.
For this image, I chose a different subject, but attempted to use the same approach for capturing the photo. It was easier to get a more clear/sharper image of the cat because I was able to get closer without startling the cat. I'm not sure if this cat belongs to someone, but I know that one of the neighbors has been taking in cats to have them vaccinated and neutered. This cat seems to have had enough interaction with people to not be completely startled when approached, but it is still a bit skiddish.
