The artist I chose was Erin Vey. She is a photographer who specializes with photos of dogs. I chose this artist because I intend on taking my career to involve animals and I need to practice photographing them. Two of the images I emulated are in my "Artist Post", so I won't repost them here. Immediately below is Erin Vey's other image I was inspired by. The three following that are my images.

Trying to get the dogs to cooperate was difficult. I chose these images of just my lab, Luna, because my other dog is such a spaz, and she wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a decent shot... (I'll work with her some other time). They don't look identical to Erin Vey's, but I don't have nearly the same skill level that she does. I always take pictures of my dogs, but it was an interesting experience, trying to have them do specific things. Treats definitely helped to motivate them! It's easier working with human models, but I enjoy working with the dogs, too.
I think you did a nice job photographing your dogs.
ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few dog photographers in the area to learn from, but here is a good site too,if you're interested. http://visualharmonyphotography.com/
