Jeanette Wright, 01/16/13, Artist Post

Dorothea Lange was famous in the early 1900s for the images she took, especially those in the 1930s and 1940s during the Great Depression and in the Dust Bowl. Her pictures showed the sad state of life for many at that time. One of her most famous works is first, Migrant Mother. Ms. Lange was one of the few women who traveled the country trying to capture what life was really like for the majority.
