I picked this image because I found it to be true of what "take a picture, and mean it." actually means. I think taking a meaningful picture is all in the eye of the beholder, just as beauty. Although, it is also loving your art and what you do. When I take a picture and I mean it I can instantly tell, there is a zing of energy and a peace that comes over me when I am taking pictures, weather for school or pure creativity. All of the creative pictures I've taken lately have included my sister. She's a gorgeous girl, tall and lean with big photogenic eyes, and while that's all good and well, that's not the only reason I take pictures with Audrey. She's my younger sister, and my best friend in life. I think Sally man said it best, “The things that are close to you, are the things you can photograph the best, and unless you photograph what you love, you are not going to make good art. It’s always been my philosophy to try to make art out of the everyday and ordinary…it never occurred to me to leave home to make art.” Audrey is my every day and ordinary, I see her constantly and I love being around her..so naturally my best photos are of her.
