Justin Piaoan 2/10/13 Image For Critique
I was inspired to take self portraits of myself like Noah Kalina. I did not do everyday like he does, but shot myself every night particularly using my bathroom as the set, and had a light stick to create some light graffiti putting some pep in the overall capture of the pictures. From the pictures I posted on the artist post, I combined the elements of using black & white, playing with lighting, and a prolonging shutter speed to create these pictorial babies. For this series of pictures, I had my Shutter speed open for 15 seconds with the f/stop of 29. Now, looking at these pictures in descending order; I would title it " Shadow Stateside" and these florescent lights build around me, I see them as a representation of progression towards the centralization of understanding in the continual condition, as well as capturing my youthful spirit each and everyday.

I loved the dedication you applied to hone up on this technique. The images turned out very interesting and really demonstrate some of the versatility available without the use of Photoshop. I also envy you as I can't figure out how to get my camera to keep the shutter open for that long! Thanks for sharing!
