Using david Herreman as my inspiration, I tried to capture the vivid colors that I really liked in his work. I started by photographing a flower from a bouquet in my parent's house. It was odd seeing a pretty spring flower this time of year, but I loved the colors together. I also wanted to have a photo with the background out of focus, by focusing close up on that branch head on. Also, since I mentioned his textures in the artist post, I thought the old broken door, and weathered wood were a good example, since he has a few darker eery images as well.
