 SHUTTER SPEED

Taking 250 pictures is always a challenge with a regular point-and-shoot camera.  This camera does not have the type of settings that my just purchased Canon Rebel T3 camera possesses.  Fortunately, I achieved the 250 picture goal for this week by taking some photos at John Tyler as well as the inside and outside of my house.  However, after buying the Canon, I snapped the above photographs to demonstrate the camera's settings for exposure and shutter speed.  The first three images are of my family's Christmas tree (yes, my parents and I have not taken it down) and demonstrate how photographs appear through the Canon at negative five exposure, zero exposure, and positive five exposure.  The final three images are of an exercise bike and showcase how pictures look through the Canon at slow (about 1/4), normal (about 1/8), and high (about 1/10) shutter speeds.
