So I guess I'm not exactly sure about the theme for this week. I just decided to take my camera along with me everywhere I went, and snapped pics of everything. I feel that having my camera in hand made me more aware of situations and objects around me that I would normally not pay much attention to.
I decided to title this one "Preoccupied"...This week my boyfriend and I went to dinner. I was sick during the week of valentines day and out of town for our anniversary (to attend a funeral) and this was our first outing in about 3 weeks. Although we did engage in conversation, it somewhat annoyed me that he was messing around on his phone. Technology is the gift and a curse. It interferes with normal communication, and instead of giving me his undivided attention, he was messing around on some social app. I can't get completely upset because I know that at some point I have probably done this before, but I am also mindful of my phone usage. I also don't pull it out during dinner. I feel it makes the other person feel as if they are not entertaining enough.
"Expressway"
I took this pic while we were going through the toll plaza on the Downtown Expressway.
"Dreaded Cobblestone"
I chose this picture because it made me think of when I first moved to Richmond. I am absolutely anal about my tires and always think my tires are low or that I'm going to somehow get a flat tire. My first time driving downtown drove me crazy because of all the freaking cobblestone. It is also THE WORST to walk on when wearing heels....learned that very early on. I also like this pic because I think it has a great depth of field.
