Henri Cartier-Bresson (August 22, 1908 – August 3, 2004) is widely recognized as one of the greatest photographers of the Twentieth Century.  He tried his hand as a movie director in ”Life Belongs to Us” (French:
La vie est à nous) which was a 1936 documentary propaganda film paid for by the Communist Party of France.  Parts of the film were taken from newsreels, mixed with new sketches about the working population, peasants and intellectuals. Mr. Bresson’s photos are my primary interest this week because, “During the work, you have to be sure that you haven’t left any holes, that you’ve captured everything, because afterwards it will be too late.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson With that quote in mind, the three pictures I’ve selected, I have set out to capture the working population of different levels and the intellectuals from a distance
