Moneta
Sleet, Jr. born February 14, 1926 – September 30, 1996 was a great artist that
inspired me. Because many of his artistic photography were captured doing my
early informative years. His works involves the photos of Dr. Martin Luther
King and his associates in their struggle for human rights. Civil rights for
all men and women. I believe the quote in the (New York Times) that Mr. Sleet,
for all his pictures of celebrities and famous events, like the 1993 march on
Washington DC, Mr. Sleet always had an eye for the quiet moments and the little
people, especially children and a certain sense of history. By having
experienced firsthand many of his photography doing that era I can close my
eyes and relive the moments easily.
