I think what makes this image strong is bright light on the surface of the image and then the darkness behind the boy. I think the composition of it is strong because the blding is sort of framimg the boy just like the frame he is holding.

I think this image is strong because of the dark tattered bibles on the green of the tattered steps.I think the composition is works because it darker on half and lighter on half with the bibles right in the middle.
