This portrait to me speaks volumes in ways of who is this man. This piece is called the diamond dollar general interview. What I have gathered is that he is teetering on half confidence due to his approach of how he mannered himself in the interview. Now doubt clouding him, he is angry not only with himself, but that his ride is taking forever. He even bought an item in the bag to make himself look good that he is an avid customer to the dollar general, but never the less a necessity.
From my perspective I see this as a statement that those that live here are no stranger to death. They have accepted death and know to understand to life. They are an established family who have found and nestled into a home that they and children to come will build upon, but the occupants at the present have accepted this is the house that they will die in.
